1. What is the primary goal of a surge suppressor?

To keep the voltage on its outputs stable even if there is fluctuation on the power grid.
To keep the equipments that are connected to it turned on even when the power grid is down, allowing you to turn off your equipments safely.
To remove noise and spikes coming from the power grid.
To increase the number of available AC outlets.
