Kilobits Per Second
Transfer rate measurement system used on serial communications. It measures the quantity of kilobits (1,024 bits) that are transferred per second.
To convert a transfer rate given in Kbps (kilobits per second) into KB/s (kilobytes per second), you should divide the value by eight. To convert a transfer rate given in KB/s to Kbps, you should multiply the value by eight.
For example, 100 Kbps equals to 12.5 KB/s.
