RAID10
By Gabriel Torres on January 6, 2006

Redundand Array of Independent Disks, Level 10

RAID 10 is similar to RAID 0+1, i.e. it is a RAID system using, at the same time, data stripping and mirroring. Its main difference to RAID 0+1 is if one of the hard drives fails, the system becomes a RAID 1 system. On RAID 0+1 if one of the hard drives fails, the system becomes a RAID 0 system.
