Single Edge Contact Cartridge

SECC is a packaging standard that uses a metallic cartridge. Inside this cartridge there is a printed circuit board containing the processor and eventually static RAM chips (L2 memory cache chips). Pentium II and Pentium III Xeon processors used this packaging. On Pentium II the edge contact has 242 pins and is called slot 1 or SC242. On Pentium II Xeon the edge contact has 330 pins and is called slot 2 or SC330.
