TFT is a kind of LCD that uses a tiny transparent transistor to activate each pixel. This transistor is called TFT, hence the name of this kind of display. TFT LCD displays are also called “active matrix” and present a higher brightness than LCD monitors without this technology. In summary, TFT is a kind of LCD.
