TARGA is a professional video card launched in 1985 by the company Truevision that allowed a maximum screen resolution of 512 x 480 pixels with 24-bit color depth (RGB True Color, 16 million simultaneous colors). With the time, other models from this video card were released. With it the TGA graphics file format was created. Pinnacle Systems bought Truevision.
