Megabits Per Second

Transfer rate measurement system used on serial communications. It measures the quantity of megabits (1,048,576 bits) that are transferred per second.

To convert a transfer rate given in Mbps (megabits per second) into MB/s (megabytes per second), you should divide the value by eight. To convert a transfer rate given in MB/s to Mps, you should multiply the value by eight.

For example, 100 Mbps equals to 12.5 MB/s.
