Digital Video Broadcast Terrestrial

DVB-T is the most popular digital TV system in the world, adopted in more countries than ATSC (USA, Canada, Mexico and South Korea) and ISDB-T (Japan) system.

On ISDB-T system images are coded using MPEG-2 algorithm (the same system used by DVD and the other digital TV systems) and modulated using COFDM (Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) standard, which is also used by the Japanese ISDB-T system.

This system is more immune to interferences than ATSC system.
