To match ABIT Fatal1ty motherboard series (AA8XE, AN8 SLI and AN8) and also Creative Labs forthcoming Fatal1ty series, Zalman released two cooling solutions: a CPU cooler (FS-C77) and a VGA cooler (FS-V7).

The CPU cooler can be used together with sockets 775, 754, 939, 940 and 478 processors. Processors using different sockets these are not supported, since the cooler comes with a series of socket adapters only for these sockets, as you can see in Figure 2.

The heatsink is all copper-made and its base is so smooth that you could use it as a mirror. The fan is transparent with a red LED that glows when the system is on.

Zalman’s Fatal1ty VGA cooler comes with eight heat spreaders to be installed on your VGA memory chips. The installation of these heat spreaders in quite simple, just peel off the little piece of paper under them and stick them to the memory chips; their thermal compound also works as stickers.

To install the Fatal1ty VGA cooler you need to remove the current cooler your VGA is using. Because of its size, you cannot install this VGA cooler on some video cards (NVIDIA’s GeForce PCX series and all video cards from Matrox). Before buying, it is good to take a look at Zalman’s website for a list of incompatible video cards.
The fan is transparent with a red LED that glows when the system is on. Also, you can adjust the fan speed. This is done manually, choosing which output from the power supply you will use, 5 V (red wire, low speed) or 12 V (yellow wire, high speed). The power supply adapter that comes with this cooler has extra outputs if you want to hook more fans to the same adapter.
The heatsink is all copper-made and its base is really smooth.

Fatal1ty series from Zalman is a high-performance series, and as a bonus it matches ABIT’s Fatal1ty motherboard series (AA8XE, AN8 SLI and AN8) layout and design. For the users that want a neat system with the coolers matching the motherboard design, the new Zalman Fatal1ty series is the way to go.
Even for the users that don’t have a Fatal1ty motherboard, these coolers can be a good solution, especially because we think the price is right for such kind of high-performance coolers with a cool design.
