OCZ HydroJet CPU Cooler Prototype (2nd version)
By Gabriel Torres on October 17, 2007

Six months ago we talked about a prototype from a CPU cooler from OCZ called HydroJet. Now OCZ showed us a new prototype for the same product, being somewhat different from the first version we saw, seeming to be the final version that will reach the market. So let’s take a look at the new HydroJet CPU cooler prototype from OCZ.

As you can see in Figure 1, HydroJet will be a cylindrical CPU cooler with a radial fan.

It will have aluminum fins with several aluminum heat-pipes, as you can see in Figure 2.

What is unique about this cooler is that it has an attached pump with a closed water cooling system (the black portion between the copper base and the cooler body in Figure 3). The base is made of copper with carbon nano-tubes in the middle (the black portion found on the base).
