Conclusions
The noise level from power supply is impressively low and when we went to the extreme of pulling 740 W from it noise level was still only at half the maximum admissible. Zalman is very conservative in labeling their power supply, so don’t be fooled, this unit is a good 700 W unit and thus you should compare it to other units on the 700 W range, not 600 W. It used to be somewhat more expensive than OCZ GameXstream 700 W, which is the same power supply without the modular cabling system. Good news is that Zalman ZM600-HP price dropped in the past months and both can be found costing almost the same thing. Both are terrific picks and you should choose between one and the other only based on your personal opinion on modular cabling system (we like it). In summary, Zalman ZM600-HP is certainly one of the best options for the user looking for a flawless power supply on the 700 W range. | |
