Inside X-Micro Mini DisGo 20 GB

We opened X-Micro’s external compact hard disk drive to take a look. As you can see on Figure 3, it uses a Toshiba 1.8” 20 GB hard disk drive (MK2006GAL model).

A chip from ITE (IT8903BE) does the USB/IDE interface, as you can see on Figure 4.

The device uses a bicolored LED, which stays green when the drive is plugged to an USB port and turns into orange whenever the hard disk drive is accessed.
