Zalman has introduced the CNPS9900 MAX, a CPU cooler compatible with Intel (sockets 1156/1366/775) and AMD (AM3/AM2+/AM2) processors. The product is available with blue or red LEDs, features a 135-mm fan (900 rpm to 1,700 rpm; maximum noise level of 30 dBA), an aerodynamically designed copper heatsink with corrosion resistance, and heatpipes which are claimed to have 1.5 times the heat transfer rate of normal heatpipes. The cooler is bundled with the ZM-STG2 thermal paste, and comes to the market with a suggested priced tag of USD 79.90.
