VIA Announces P4M900 Chipset

VIA has announced a new integrated chipset aimed at Pentium 4 processors. The P4M900 features Chrome9 on-board video, clocked at 250 MHz, with support for DirectX 9.0, Shader Model 2.0 and 1080p HDTV output. Other specs include (with the VT8251 south bridge): 1,066 MHz FSB, DDR2-667, PCI Express x16, PCI Express x1, two ATA-133 ports, four Serial ATA 3 Gb/s ports, eight USB 2.0 ports, six PCI slots, six or eight-channel audio and Ethernet 10/100.
