SilverStone Intros Raven RV03 Mid-Tower Case
By Cássio Lima on April 11, 2011 - 3:34 PM

SilverStone has launched a new computer case for their Raven series, the RV03. Incidentally, we’ve already reviewed the RV01 and RV02 models.

As with its older versions, the motherboard on the RV03 is rotated 90º, allowing the rear connectors to be available on the top part of the case. This was done to improve thermal dissipation, especially from the video card, as hot air tends to go up, and high-end video cards usually blow hot air from the inside to the outside of the case - usually to the rear of the case; but with Raven, hot air is blown to the top.

The RV03 features a 0.8 mm steel body, seven 5.25” external bays, 10 3.5” internal bays (six converted from 5.25” bays), two 2.5” internal bays, two USB 3.0 ports, and eight slots for expansion cards.

For cooling, the Raven RV03 has two 180 mm fans on the bottom panel and a 120 mm fan on the top panel.

The Raven RV03 will be on the market next week costing USD 139.99.
