Seagate Launches 2 TB SAS Hard Disk

Seagate has expanded its storage offer with the launch of Constellation ES, a 3.5” hard disk, targeted to enterprise market, with 2 TB capacity based on SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) 6.0 Gbps interface. Constellation ES spins at 7,200 rpm, has 16 MB of buffer and a dual processor system that allows the disk to achieve a maximum transfer rate of 150 MB/s. No word on pricing and availability.
