By Cássio Lima on June 27, 2011 - 4:34 AM

Scythe has announced the successor of their Mugen 2 CPU Cooler, the Mugen 3. As its predecessor, the Mugen 3 is targeted to mainstream users, overclockers and enthusiasts.

Incidentally, Mugen stands for "infinity" in Japanese.

The new Mugen 3 cooler measures 5.11 x 3.93 x 6.22 inches (130 x 100 x 158 mm), weighs 1.81 lbs (825 g), has a nickel-plated copper base, six copper heatpipes (its predecessor had only five), aluminum heatsink, and a 120 mm fan (300 to 1,600 rpm; 32.15 dBA max). The Mugen 3 is compatible with Intel (sockets 1155, 1156, 775 and 1366) and AMD (sockets AM2, AM2+, AM3 and AM3+) CPUs.

Information for the U.S. market was not provided.
