Sapphire Launches Radeon HD 6950 FleX Edition
By Cássio Lima on March 23, 2011 - 7:33 AM

Sapphire has just announced the Radeon HD 6950 FleX Edition, a new video card that allows users to build an Eyefinity setup using three DVI monitors without the need for active adapters. The first two monitors are connected to the two DVI ports available on the card and the third to an HDMI to DVI cable that comes with the video card.

Eyefinity is a multi-monitor technology from AMD that enables a single GPU to support up to six independent display outputs simultaneously.

The Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 FleX Edition features the stock clocks (800 MHz for the GPU and 5 GHz DDR for the memory), and comes with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory, a dual-slot Vapor-X cooler, dual-BIOS, and two DVI, one HDMI and two mini-DisplayPort connectors.

Sapphire did not say a word about the card’s price.
