Sapphire Launches Pure Platinum Z68 Motherboard

Sapphire has introduced their first motherboard based on the Intel Z68 chipset. The Pure Platinum Z68 (PT-CI7S33Z68) is a full-ATX board that supports LucidLogix Virtu technology, which makes the computer switch between a discrete video card and the CPU integrated graphics, depending on the task you are doing.

This new motherboard features four DDR3-1600+ memory sockets (16 GB max), three PCI Express x16 slots, three PCI slots, four SATA-600 ports, four SATA-300 ports, 8-channel audio (Realtek ALC892), Gigabit Ethernet (Marvell 88E8057), four USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, a 6+2 voltage regulator circuit, and VGA, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort video outputs.
