Sapphire Announces Radeon HD 5850 TOXIC with 2 GB GDDR5

Sapphire has announced the expansion of their TOXIC video card line-up with the launch of a Radeon HD 5850 equipped with 2 GB GDDR5 (reference model has “only” 1 GB). This factory-overclocked card makes use of Vapor-X cooler, featuring vapor chamber technology and that according to the manufacturer it is more efficient than the stock cooler. Radeon HD 5850 TOXIC works internally at 765 MHz (5.52% above stock clock of 725 MHz), accesses its memory at 4.5 GHz QDR (12.50% above stock clock of 4 GHz QDR) through a 256-bit interface and features DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors. No word on pricing and availability.
