SanDisk Intros World’s Smallest SSD Drive

SanDisk has announced the development of an SSD drive smaller than a postage stamp. The product measures 16 x 20 x 1.85 mm (0.63 x 0.79 x 0.07 inches), weighs less than one gram, and is available in capacities ranging from 4 GB to 64 GB, providing read and write speeds of up to 160 MB/s and 100 MB/s, respectively. It was designed for use in mobile computing platforms such as tablet PCs and ultra-thin notebooks. Its price has not been disclosed, because it depends upon the quantity ordered.
