Samsung Announces 1 TB HD

Samsung announced its one terabyte F1 Series hard disk drive, which features the world's highest recording density in a 3.5" hard disk drive using only 3 disks, says manufacturer.

NoiseGuard and SilentSeek technologies guarantees quiet operation and less vibration emanating from the drive.

The F1 Series drive features a 334 GB per-platter capacity, a 7200rpm spin speed, a 32MB cache, and up to a 1.2 million hour MTBF. It features a SATA 3Gb/s interface . Suggested price: US$ 399.
