Rosewill has expanded its power supply offering with the launch of two 80 Plus Platinum certified series, the SilentNight and the Tachyon. While the former is comprised of only one model (500 W), the latter is available in 550 W, 650 W, 750 W, and 1,000 W versions.
The SilentNight 500 W unit adopts a fanless design, allowing you to operate your PC in a completely noise-free environment. It features a single +12 V rail and a partial modular cabling system, including a main motherboard cable with a 20/24-pin connector, one ATX12V/EPS12V connector, and two six/eight-pin connectors, all of them permanently attached to the power supply.
Tachyon units are also equipped with a single +12 V rail, but they come with a 140 mm fan. Both series feature protection against a variety of electrical anomalies, such as over/under voltage, overload, short-circuit, overheat, etc.
