PowerColor Launches Support for Heavier Video Cards
By Cássio Lima on July 6, 2010 - 4:31 PM

As high-end video cards become more powerful, the size increases as well as the weight. Put in the equation a nice cooler with three fans and one watercooling solution, and the card gets heavier. To support all this weight, only a screw holds the card in the computer case. Because of that, the video card bends inside the case. PowerColor has launched PowerJack, a support for heavier video cards that is installed perpendicularly between the video card and the bottom of the computer case. The product can be installed in multiple types of cases as it can be extended from 61.25 mm up to 150 mm. On the video below you can watch a demo of how the PowerJack is used. The PowerJack will be available on July 15th, but the price is not yet announced.
