Patriot has launched the Torqx TRB family of solid state drives, which is comprised with 32 GB and 64 GB models. These new drives come in a 2.5” form factor, feature MLC memory chips, SATA-300 interface, 64 MB of buffer, make use of a JMicron JMF616 controller, and provide a maximum read speed of 260 MB/s (64 GB model) or 245 MB/s (32 GB model), and a maximum write speed of 115 MB/s (64 GB model) or 60 MB/s (32 GB model). No word on pricing.
