By Alessandra Carneiro on December 14, 2007 - 2:13 PM

OCZ announced new 1800MHz Intel Extreme Memory DDR3 modules, specially designed for the Intel X48 chipset. These modules feature Intel Extreme Memory Profiles (XMP), a set of SPD (Serial Presence Detect) settings that act as an integrated “plug and play” overclocking tool. These XMP-Ready memory kits run latencies of 8-8-8 (with Intel qualified specification) or 7-7-7. They are available in 1GB modules and 2GB kits.
