NVIDIA has announced that Intel and the main motherboard manufacturers (ASUS, EVGA, Gigabyte and MSI) have licensed NVIDIA SLI technology for inclusion on their Intel P55 Express Chipset-based motherboards designed for the upcoming Intel Core i7 and i5 processors in the LGA1156 socket. So users of P55-based motherboard and upcoming Core processors can equip their PCs with more than one NVIDIA-based video card under SLI configuration. It is always good to remember that Intel chipsets are already compatible with the competing technology, CrossFireX from AMD.
