Microsoft Launches Kinect for Windows

Kinect for Windows PCs is now available. The suggested retail price is USD 249, but it will also be available for USD 149 for qualified educational users by the end of this year. Microsoft also released version 1.0 of Kinect for Windows SDK, enabling software developers to start working on applications.

Kinect is Microsoft’s gesture recognition device originally developed for the Xbox 360 console.
