Manufacturers Unveil AMD Fusion Mini-ITX Motherboards

Gigabyte and Sapphire have already announced the launch of their first AMD Fusion motherboards. These new mini-ITX boards are equipped with an AMD’s APUs (Accelerated Processing Units) and are targeted to users building small home theater computers (HTPC’s).

Gigabyte’s GA-E350N-USB3 features an AMD E-350 APU (dual-core, 1.6 GHz), has two DDR3 DIMM memory sockets (up to 8 GB), one PCI Express x16 slot (running at 4x), four SATA-600 ports, eight USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, one Gigabit Ethernet port, 8-channel audio, and VGA, HDMI and DVI outputs.

Sapphire’s Pure Fusion Mini E350 also features an AMD E-350 APU (dual-core, 1.6 GHz), has two DDR3 SO-DIMM memory sockets (up to 4 GB), one PCI Express x16 slot, five SATA-600 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, one Gigabit Ethernet port, 7.1 channel audio, and VGA, HDMI and DVI outputs.

No word on pricing was provided.
