Logitech released two new speaker systems designed for portable music players. The mm50, customized for Apple’s iPod, offers exclusive features, a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery said to last 10 hours per charge and a remote control. Max-X high-excursion drivers and three inch pressure drivers promise fully balanced audio, maximum bass response and minimal distortion. It will be available in September with a suggested retail price of USD 150. The Logitech mm28, in its turn, can be used with any MP3 or CD player equipped with a 3.5 mm audio jack. The speakers use NXT flat-panel technology and are said to run for 45 hours on a single set of AA batteries. Suggested price is USD 80.
