Kingston Debuts SSDNow V+100 SSD Series

Kingston has launched the next generation of their SSDNow V+ solid state drive series, the SSDNow V+100, which includes 2.5” models with 64 GB, 96 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB capacities. The new drives has SATA-300 interface, support TRIM and 128-bit AES hardware-based encryption, make use of MLC flash memory chips, and provide read and write speeds of up to 230 MB/s and 180 MB/s, respectively.
The SSDNow V+100 drives are available in two versions: “complete bundle” and “stand-alone drive”. The former comes with an adapter to allow you to install the unit on a 3.5” hard disk drive bay, a peripheral-to-SATA power adapter and a SATA cable.

According to Kingston, the SSDNow V+100 drives are 25% faster than the previous generation.
