Intel launched a new Xeon series allowing symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) up to 32 CPUs. The new Xeon 7300 series (a.k.a Tigerton) is based on the Core microarchitecture and carrying quad-core technology. Six new Xeon processors were launched inside the 7300 series, as you can see on the table below. All new quad-core Xeon 7300 models operate on a 1,066 MHz front-side bus featuring a new point-to-point bus architecture, which allows each processor to have its own connection directly to the chipset.
Model | Internal Clock | L2 Cache | TDP |
X7350 | 2,93 GHz | 8 MB | 130W |
E7340 | 2,40 GHz | 8 MB | 80W |
E7330 | 2,40 GHz | 6 MB | 80W |
E7320 | 2,13 GHz | 4 MB | 80W |
L7345 | 1,86 GHz | 8 MB | 50W |
E7310 | 1,60 GHz | 4 MB | 80W |
