Intel Unveils Centrino 2 Platform

Intel has just unveiled the fifth generation of its Centrino laptop platform: Centrino 2, formerly known by its codename Montevina. This new platform uses Core 2 Quad and new Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme Mobile processors featuring 45-nm technology, up to 6 MB L2 cache and 1,066 MHz FSB, Intel 45 Express chipset (supporting DDR3 memories) and 802.11n wireless (up to 450 Mbps). On the table below you can see the specs for the new processors and chipsets launched by Intel for Centrino 2 platform.
