Intel Unveils Centrino 2 Platform

Intel has just unveiled the fifth generation of its Centrino laptop platform: Centrino 2, formerly known by its codename Montevina. This new platform uses Core 2 Quad and new Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme Mobile processors featuring 45-nm technology, up to 6 MB L2 cache and 1,066 MHz FSB, Intel 45 Express chipset (supporting DDR3 memories) and 802.11n wireless (up to 450 Mbps).
