Intel Announces Atom “Pine Trail” Platform

Intel has just announced the launch of Atom “Pine Trail” platform, comprised with the newest Atom processors featuring built-in memory controller and integrated video and with the new NM10 chipset. Three processors were launched: N450 (single-core, 45 nm, 1.66 GHz and TDP of 7 W), D410 (single-core, 45 nm, 1.66 GHz and TDP of 12 W) and D510 (dual-core, 45 nm, 1.66 GHz and TDP of 15 W). According to Intel these new Atom processors are 20% more power efficient than the previous Atom platform. Notebooks based on Intel “Pine Trail” platform are expected to debut on January 4th.
