Huntkey has announced that their X7 500 W power supply has gotten the 80 Plus Platinum certification, being the first Huntkey unit to be granted with the Ecos Consulting’s (the company behind 80 Plus) highest certification level.

To get the 80 Plus Platinum certification a power supply should present efficiency of at least 90%, 92%, and 89% in 20%, 50%, and 100% loads, respectively, and power factor (PF) of at least 0.95. The Huntkey X7 500 W achieved 90.63% (at 20% load), 92.62% (at 50% load),
and 90.31% (at 100% load) during Ecos Consulting's testings.
