Gigabyte Unleashes GA-X58A-UD9 Motherboard

Gigabyte has just brought out to the market a motherboard based on Intel X58 chipset featuring a 24-phase voltage regulator, seven PCI Express x16 slots (four working at x16 and three working at x8), six DDR3 sockets (DDR3-2200+ through overclock), two SATA-600 ports, ten SATA-300 ports, three Firewire ports, two Gigabit Ethernet ports and 8-channel audio (Realtek ALC889). This monster is called GA-X58A-UD9 and also comes with several others features including solid caps, 2 oz (56 g) copper tracks (which is the double of the thickness usually used on motherboards), active phase controller (“Dynamic Energy Saver 2”), DualBIOS, power, reset and CMOS on-board buttons, recharging capability to iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch and waterblock installed on northbridge chip. No word on pricing.
