Gigabyte Intros X58A OC Motherboard
By Cássio Lima on March 7, 2011 - 6:26 PM

Gigabyte introduced what they are calling "the world's first motherboard designed by overclockers for overclockers". Which is kind of a suspicious affirmation, since both ABIT and DFI claimed the same at least eight years ago. In any case, the X58A-OC comes with a set of very high-end overclocking features, including a high-end 12-phase voltage regulator circuit, onboard buttons for tuning CPU clock, 2 oz (56 g) copper layers, seven four-pin fan connectors, and two BIOS chips, allowing users to select one BIOS for normal use, and another one for overclocking supporting up to 16 different profiles. It uses only top-notch components.

Based on the Intel X58 chipset and supporting Intel 1366 socket CPUs, the X58A-OC motherboard features four PCI Express x16 slots, one slot PCI, six DDR3 memory sockets, six SATA-300 ports, two SATA-600 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, and one Gigabit Ethernet port.

Gigabyte did not say when this board will be launched.
