Gigabyte Announces Motherboards for AMD Llano APUs
By Cássio Lima on June 29, 2011 - 1:57 PM

As the main motherboard manufacturers, Gigabyte has also launched their first motherboards for the upcoming desktop APUs (Accelerated Processing Units) manufactured in 32 nm technology from AMD. These new APUs will be part of the AMD A-Series (codename Llano) and will feature a new socket, dubbed FM1.

Seven models were announced, as you can see below:

All models feature solid capacitors, ferrite chokes, low RDS(on) MOSFET transistors, two BIOS chips, and a high-end audio codec (Realtek ALC889). All USB ports have fuses to prevent you from burning your motherboard if somehow the ground and VCC pins from the USB ports are reversed, touch each other, or the USB ports get a really high static discharge.
