Gelid has launched an updated version of their Tranquillo CPU cooler and gave it the name of Tranquillo Rev.2 (CC-TranQ-02-A). We’ve already reviewed the original version of the Tranquillo, as you can read here.

Compared to the original version, the Tranquillo Rev.2 heatpipes were optimized to prevent any conflict from the components on the latest motherboard in the market. Additionally, the shape of the heatsink was redesigned for a better heat transfer.

The Tranquillo Rev.2 features four copper heatpipes, a copper base, aluminum fins, a 120 mm hydro dynamic bearing fan (750 to 1,500 rpm), and is compatible with Intel (sockets 775/1155/1156/1366) and AMD (sockets AM2/AM2+/AM3) processors. It’s priced at USD 40.
