Gainward has announced the launch of a GeForce GTX 580 video card equipped with 3 GB GDDR5 memory (double the amount found on the stock model). Dubbed GeForce GTX 580 Phantom, this video card works internally at 783 MHz (1.42% above the stock clock of 772 MHz), accesses its memory at 4,020 MHz (0.30% above the stock clock of 4,008 MHz) through a 384-bit interface, and features DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort connectors.

The GeForce GTX 580 Phantom is cooled by a custom cooler equipped with three 80-mm fans, six heatpipes, a copper base, and 44 aluminum fins. Gainward didn’t mention the price of this video card.
