Cooler Master Unveils the CM 690 III PC Case
By Cássio Lima on July 30, 2013 - 3:11 PM

The CM 690 is the most popular case from Cooler Master and, because of its popularity, the manufacturer decided to revamp it. The new version, called CM 690 III, will be available on stores next month.

The exterior retains the curved metal mesh look the series is known for. The interior has been completely updated – the HDD/SSD combo cage can be switched between 3.5” or 2.5” drives by adjustable trays without any screw. The CM 690 III simultaneously supports two 240 mm (2 x 120 mm) liquid cooling radiators at the top and front for improved overall airflow. In addition, users have the option of installing a 120 mm radiator in the rear. The case supports a total of up to nine fans, with as many as three of them being massive 200 mm fans. With these features, air and liquid cooling setups can be customized easily while almost only being limited based on need and imagination.

In order to ensure that plenty of airflow reaches each of the many fan inlets, CM 690 III features full mesh coverage on the front and top, with plenty of airflow access on the sides and back. Multiple dust filters are provided to minimize dust ingress.
