Computex 2012: Sapphire Releases Radeon HD 7970 with 6 GB and Enters the CPU Cooler Market
By Gabriel Torres on June 13, 2012 - 1:41 PM

Sapphire announced a Radeon HD 7970 with 6 GB of memory, with the GPU working at 1,100 MHz and the memory accessed at 6 GHz. The card uses an eight-phase voltage regulator, a 12-layer printed circuit board, and a vapor-chamber cooler. An onboard LED monitors the PCB temperature. According to the company, gamers probably won’t benefit from the extra memory, so they are targeting this video card to high-end content creation workstations. This video card should arrive on the market next month.
