During this Computex, ASUS showcased a concept motherboard called “X79 Zeus,” featuring two on-board GPUs. This motherboard is not intended for production (at least not yet), but rather to show off what ASUS’s engineers can do.
Other features include two Thunderbold ports, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, 10 SATA-600 ports with hardware-based RAID, 12 USB 3.0 ports, WiFi IEEE 802.11b/g/n, and eight memory sockets supporting up to 128 GB.
The motherboard doesn’t have expansion slots, as the area normally occupied by them was used to install the two GPUs and the necessary memory chips. ASUS didn’t say which GPUs were used.
