By Gabriel Torres on May 31, 2011 - 9:49 PM

OCZ also showcased a hybrid SSD/hard drive solution, the RevoDrive Hybrid. It is a PCI Express x4 card (which can be installed in PCI Express x16 slots) that comes with flash memory to cache the most frequently accessed data on a 2.5” hard disk drive. The SSD part of the device is managed by four SandForce SF-2200 controllers using a RAID 0 configuration and MLC chips. According to OCZ, this solution can deliver a maximum read transfer rate of 575 MB/s and a maximum write transfer rate of 500 MB/s. It will be available in capacities ranging from 240 GB to 960 GB. The only problem is the price. The MSRP in the US for the 240 GB version will be USD 699.
