Computex 2011: New Power Supply Series from OCZ
By Gabriel Torres on May 31, 2011 - 9:33 PM

During this Computex, OCZ showcased three power supplies series that it will be releasing later this year.

The ZS series will be comprised of 550 W, 650 W, and 750 W models with an 80 Plus Bronze certification. OCZ expects to launch this series in July. The ZS power supplies will be manufactured by Highpower.

The ZT series will also be available in 550 W, 650 W, and 750 W versions with an 80 Plus Bronze certification. These power supplies, however, will feature a fully modular cabling system. Units from this series will be manufactured by Great Wall, so they will be completely different internally from the ZS series models. OCZ expects to launch the ZT series in August or September.

The Fatal1ty 1000 W will be available probably in October, and it will carry the 80 Plus Gold certification and feature a modular cabling system. Although OCZ couldn’t disclose what the real manufacturer of this unit is, we could easily see that the prototype was manufactured by High Power. According to OCZ, this unit will have a “special design” for its modular cables, but they couldn’t tell more about this. Let’s wait and see.
