By Gabriel Torres on January 17, 2012 - 5:00 PM

During this CES, Corsair announced two new mid-tower computer cases, the Obsidian Series 550D and the Carbide Series 300R.

The Obsidian Series 550D offers eight expansion slots, four external 5.25” bays, and six internal 3.5”/2.5” bays. It has an aluminum front door that can be opened to either side; you can also remove it. It is focused on silence, as the side, front, and top panels have a foam sheet to reduce noise. All air filters are magnetic.
