ASUS has launched EN8600GT TOP/HTDP/256M, a PCI Express x16 graphics card equipped with GeForce 8600 GT chip running at 600 MHz (11.11% above the standard clock rate of 540 MHz) and coming with 256 MB GDDR3 running at 2,016 MHz (44% above the standard clock of 1.4 GHz) transferring 128 bits per clock cycle. Its shader engines run at 1,458 MHz, i.e. 22.7% above their standard clock rate of 1,188 MHz. This board supports ASUS SmartDoctor technology, which allows users to overclock the shader clock and engine clock independently, and comes with 1 ns memory chips. ASUS also says that the cooler used on this video card lowers the GPU temperature by 13º C compared to VGAs using the standard NVIDIA cooler.
