AMD Unleashes Athlon X2 7850 Black Edition

Paired with the launch of Radeon HD 4770, AMD has rolled out Athlon X2 7850 Black Edition, a 65-nm dual-core processor clocked at 2,8 GHz featuring 1 MB L2 cache, 2 MB L3 cache, 3.6 GHz HyperTransport bus and a TDP of 95 W. By being a “Black Edition” model, this new processor has its clock multiplier unlocked and thus targeted to overclockers. Athlon X2 7850 Black Edition has a suggested price of USD 69 (at 1,000-units).
