AMD/ATI Releases ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3000 Series

AMD/ATI has launched the new family of graphics ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3000 series. The first two cards to reach the market are Mobility Radeon HD 3400 and Mobility Radeon HD 3600. The new series is optimized for the forthcoming AMD notebook platform, code-named "Puma". It is indicated for notebooks with Microsoft DirectX 10.1 and PCI Express 2.0 support.

With the new series, users can watch Blu-ray and HD-DVD movies in full-HD 1080p resolution (HD display required) using ATI Avivo HD Technology. It offers DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort support.

The Mobility Radeon HD 3600 supports 128-bit DDR2/GDDR3/GDDR4 memory interface and the HD 3400 supports 64-bit DDR2/GDDR3 memory interface.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 series and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3600 series are currently shipping in notebooks from ASUS.
