AMD/ATI Intros Radeon HD 4890

AMD/ATI has just extended its Radeon HD 4800 video card series with the launch of Radeon HD 4890. According to AMD/ATI this is the world’s most powerful graphics card. Radeon HD 4890 works internally at 850 MHz, accesses its 1 GB GDDR5 at 3,900 MHz DDR (975 MHz real) through a 256-bit interface, has 800 shader processors, supports Shader 4.1 (DirectX 10.1) and OpenGL 3.0 programming models and CrossFireX, ATI Stream and Unified Video Decoder v2.0 technologies. This video card also features two 6-pin PCI Express power connectors and takes two expansion slots on the case. Radeon HD 4890 is priced at USD 249.
